PASTOR SEARCH TEAM

The Church shall promptly instruct the Pastor Search Team to search out a man who it considers suitable to the needs of the Church, and recommend his call. The Pastor Search Team consists of five members of Concord. 

 

Greg Holcomb

(Chairman)

Greg and his wife Kathleen have been members of Concord for 22 years.  They have two young adult children, Erin who is an oncology nurse in Macon, and Nicole who is a bridal design assistant in Charleston.  Greg has been a Community Group Leader and Teacher for the past 14 years and has served on several ministry teams.  Greg and Kathleen were missionaries to the Concord at Habersham campus during the launch in 2017 before returning to the Clermont campus in 2018.  They are also regular attenders at the Iglesia Bilingue services on Sunday evenings at the Habersham campus.  Greg is currently an Adult Community Group Leader, Church Moderator, and serves on the Senior Pastor Accountability Team.  Greg served on the Pastor Search Team in 2010 that presented Dr. Levi Skipper to the body for consideration as Sr. Pastor.


Darrin Bryson

Darrin and his wife Robin have been members of Concord for over 19 years.  They have two young adult children, Abigail who attends the University of Georgia and is involved in Young Life, and Avery who will attend the University of North Georgia in the fall and currently serves in the praise band at the Dahlonega campus. Darrin’s wife, Robin, has served as the director of Concord Christian Preschool for 17 years.  Darrin has served as a Deacon, Church Clerk, Sunday School teacher, Chairman of Missions Development, and has led several mission trips and pastor training in Brazil and other locations.  He is currently the Chairman of Deacons and serves on the 777 Team.  Darrin served on the Pastor Search Team in 2010 that presented Dr. Levi Skipper to the body for consideration as Sr. Pastor.


Stephanie Lavender

Stephanie and her husband Bronson have been members of Concord for 26 years.  They have two young adult children, Dalton and Dylan, who have attended and served at the Dahlonega campus for the past two years.  Stephanie has been a Community Group Leader for 19 years and served as Preschool Sunday School Director for 3 years.  She has led a weekly Bible study at Concord’s Hope Center for the past four years.  She has also served on the Ministry Connections Team, Parent Ministry Team, and as Church Hostess.  Stephanie is currently a Community Group Leader for high school girls and is a Community Group Coach along with her husband for the high school teachers.  Stephanie served on the Pastor Search Team in 2010 that presented Dr. Levi Skipper to the body for consideration as Sr. Pastor.


Ronald Rogers

Ronald and his wife Joy have been members of Concord for over 27 years.  They have two young adult children, Emily who is a healthcare administrator in Athens, and Avery who is an engineer in Statesboro.  Ronald has served as a Deacon for 23 years and has been a Community Group Leader for over 25 years.  He has served on the board of Cornerstone International Ministries and has participated in multiple mission opportunities.  Ronald has also served on various church committees and is currently an Adult Community Group Leader, member of the Audit and Finance Team, and he serves on the 777 Team.


Jay Burkett

Jay and his wife Nicole have been members of Concord for 24 years.  They have five children: Jon (19), Nix (17), Zoe (13), Aslyn (10), and Bree (10).  Jay has been a Community Group Leader and Teacher for the past 22 years. He is currently serving as a Deacon, the Chairman of the Personnel Committee, a member of the 777 Team, and a member of the Senior Pastor Accountability Team.  Jay served on the Pastor Search Team in 2010 that presented Dr. Levi Skipper to the body for consideration as Sr. Pastor.
